This course is designed to familiarize the student with the role and equipment of the broadcast journalist in the field through hands-on application of theoretical and practical knowledge gained in the classroom. The course will examine the definitions of news and the emergence of in-depth reporting. The craft of interviewing will be studied to provide the students with an ability to ask proper questions according to industry standards. Student will be able to interview news makers to gather news information and write and produce a news story to industry standards.
