The Jean Olson Career Achievement Award

The Jean Olson Career Achievement Award was established in memory of Jean Olson, a long-time member and president of the Humboldt County Board of Education.
A champion of education, the teaching profession and the well-being of children, Jean Olson devoted countless hours of volunteer service on behalf of Humboldt County schools, charities and youth organizations.
A qualified candidate for the Jean Olson Career Achievement Award is a veteran kindergarten through 12th grade teacher who has made a lifelong commitment to students, educators and the community. He or she should have contributed to the standing of the teaching profession and have demonstrated exemplary personal and professional standards both in, and outside of, the classroom.
